I lawl'd, this guy is treatening to quit GW over one of the easiest missions to get Masters in. It's all about pulling and learning how to Dungeon-crawl in Dasha, got that down and this mission is a minor inconvience.

Jennur's Hoarde though makes me want to kick a kitten in the face. I am not a fan of fed-ex ing an item then dying in the process.

Welcome to guild wars, where bosses have double casting time, energy recharge, energy pool, HP, armor, recharge time, damage and size.

And still people wanna buff the game...

Well, I got owned the first 5 times cause of the ruby djinn boss as well (appearently, we don't need to be on fire for the searing flames to do damage. SF whiped our entire party in 1 time, except devona.)

I pulled the boss really nice... we got ready to attack it, it uses SF and we're dead. Just wait till you get in Realm of Torment, with Tortureweb Dryders killing you with 1 Liquid Flame...

I think the problem here might be that the guy who made the original post has too much experience, not too little. When you're really a noob, you're kind of used to running into situations that you can't master immediately, getting wiped, picking yourself up, and starting over. That's the learning curve and it's to be expected.

It takes somebody who's pretty used to being on top of everything to be shocked when he's not.

Just put Extinguish on a Hero Monk, disable it, and set it off when you see too many on fire. I failed miserably first time through the mission, SF wiped me clean; not one death when I thought about using Extinguish.

And seriously, man. There's no difference in stats between uber and casual players. You just have to put some thought into it.

Duuuude, I seriously did this mission with henchies, and got masters. D: I am a ranger, and I brought some interupt skills. I was successful in interupting SF with distracting shot. It was a total luck shot, i know, all i know of the matter was that I was spamming interupts as skillfully placed as I could. I was also barrageing the whole grp from afar, but that's neither here nor there. I personally thought it was one of the easiest missions yet. D:

countering a 2sec recharge skill with a 12sec recharge is crap.the answer to the problem was in the first 5 posts: just give broad head arrow to margrid and the djinn wont be able to cast A SINGLE spell.you can defeat the drought +bonus with henchies and all you need is bha.
its always funny to see that so many "experienced" players dont know nothing about basic positioning and basics like shutting down caster bosses.
must be the ones who prefer to take 5 echo nukers to kill that monk boss rather than 1 mesmer...

Specifically the flame jin (forget his name) he fired ONCE (searing flames), and the entire party died in less than 2 seconds.
from reading this, im seeing you obviously have no clue what searing flames does. it actually sets you on fire at the first cast, and deals about 120 damage on the other cast, which is doubled (i think) because of NF bosses. so if you actually had a partywhipe with all heroes having <240 HP, then this clearly isnt correct. if they didnt whipe you, your actually a liar and this still remains false.

One more reason to not buy chapter 4, and to look for a new game.
sure, go play some games that dont require any thinking which you can beat easily. seems to fit you. :\

i think all ways to easily beat this have been said; pulling, positioning, interrupting, condition removal, mesmer shutdown, protection prayers (omfg doh)

i dont want to imagine you in PVP where you might have to think about a tactic, tbh. lol. :P

This is my 8 year old sons favorite mission. He begs me to let him do it when my characters get there. So far he has had no problems on it.

Broad Head Arrow. Think that's all I have to say on this matter.

WTB +10 AL vs Flames inscription PST.

I do remember doing this mission on my monk. Got to the end no problem, then got wiped almost right away because I didn't see the ele boss around the wall until he was already aggroed and wiping. :P It hit me that since you HAVE to have Margrid with you, might as well make her work. Get Margrid Read the Wind + FW. Kill the other two bosses seperately. Flag Margrid so that she has a clear line-of-sight to hit the boss, then lock on him and hit Broad Headed Arrow, then send your other characters in. He'll go down in about 10 seconds.

There's also some other alternatives if you don't have Broad Headed Arrow. You can take Olias and use Spinal Shivers, with Magrid using Winter to make all ele damage go to cold, which finally makes the henchie wanding useful. That will also shut him down. There's probably a few others but I'm too lazy to go into them. And if your problem is pulling...not to be mean, but you HAVE to learn how to pull properly if you're going to hench things. You probably had to use similar techniques to get past the OTHER Elementalist bosses, i.e. The Drought and the guy at the end of Pogahn Passage double damage Fireball/Meteor. This should be EASIER because there won't be any backup with Kormab.

So, far nearly every (seemingly) insurmountable obstacle that I have run into while playing in the 3 campaigns were eventually conquered by:

-skill bar changes and/or elite swaps

-changing my initial approach

-party profession make up

I play using Heroes and Henchmen, by the way.

Currently, my "insurmountable" obstacle is the Grand Court of Sebelkeh Mission. I have failed it 3 times thus far.

To Master Grand Court: take a balanced team with Olias. Flag Olias and Tahlkora at the center to guard it, while your party proceeds to wipe/cap the rest of the points.

Use same tactic, that you describe in start of your post
-skill bar changes
Its another very easy mission that can be easely done with hero/hench team
I used Tankora as WoH monk, MM and SF heroes + heal monk, fire ele, earth ele and paragon paragon
I used my w/me character with LB gaze and Echo(e) and just echo gaze blashemy and unbound energies
first try ~7min (hero hench team)
second try - joined a PuG that advertised yourself as masters group - group wipe
third try - same PuG - >12min
fourth try 5.04min (hero/hench)

Yea this mission REALY infuritated me, first time i didnt even check they were bosses and got wiped. 2nd attempt got wiped again. 3rd attempt i did it, it played the cinematic then i got err 5 after and the mission didnt complete but now i learnt the trick.

Even me as a paragon with cautery signet(clears all parties conditions) and 2 healer monks the final ele bosses searing flames single handedly wiped my team out so bring a team that can nuke him ASAP healings no good.

The idea is you flag all your hench/heros at the end of the corridor and agro either the paragon or dervish guy 1 at a time. Then run back to your hench they should massacre him. (cap Angelic bond ).

Once the paragon and dervish boss are dead unflag your team and charge the ele boss focus on taking him out asfast as you can. He will get one searing flames off but should die before you get wiped

There you go done no gimmick build, not even a hard counter to the ele boss.

I pulled the first two and took that one on for last, but the hench kept bunching up in my case and Searing Flames kept smacking me.

I too used Extinguish to get through it - I made all my heroes monk secondaries and threw it in all the skill bars. With three heroes with it, it makes the mission a cakewalk at that point. Probably not the best way of doing it, but it worked well for me; that boss is really easy once you get a solid counter to being caught on fire.

Here's something that even the most casual players can do:

Talk to Ridara
Click on "Please give me some tips."
Her response: "There are many puzzles to solve, but be prepared to fight. 2. The end bosses can be difficult if you assault them head on. Try pulling them away from one another."
From that you should figure out that you should not try hacking your way through the bosses.

Besides, to do this mission, you have to have Margrid, a ranger hero. Give her some interupts, or if you can, Broad Head Arrow.
